for TrueNAS Connect Plus

This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how refunds and cancellations work for subscriptions to TrueNAS Connect Plus (the “Service”).
By purchasing or using the Service, you agree to this policy in addition to our Terms of Service.
1. Scope
This policy applies to all paid subscriptions to TrueNAS Connect Plus purchased through our online checkout and processed by our payment provider/merchant of record (2Checkout / Verifone), unless otherwise stated in a separate written agreement.
Our service is available globally, but we are a California-based company. Certain country- or region-specific consumer rights may apply in addition to this policy; where local law grants you additional rights, those will prevail.
2. Subscription Types
We currently offer the following billing options for TrueNAS Connect Plus:
- Monthly subscription – billed every month.
- Annual subscription – billed once per year.
Unless explicitly stated otherwise at checkout, subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period until cancelled.
3. Refund Policy
3.1 Monthly subscriptions
For monthly TrueNAS Connect Plus subscriptions:
- Initial Purchase: You may request a 100% refund within 14 days of the initial purchase date.
- Renewals: You may request a 100% refund of a renewal charge within 14 days of the renewal date. After 14 days, no refunds will be issued for that billing period.
3.2 Annual subscriptions
For annual TrueNAS Connect Plus subscriptions:
- Initial Purchase: You may request a 100% refund within 30 days of the initial purchase date.
- Renewals: You may request a 100% refund of an annual renewal charge within 30 days of the renewal date. After 30 days, no refunds will be issued for that billing period.
3.3 Eligibility and limitations
- Refunds are available only for payments made directly to us via our online checkout. If you purchased through a reseller or third party, their refund policy may apply.
- We may decline or limit refunds if we detect:
- Abuse of our refund policy,
- Fraudulent or suspicious activity,
- Violation of our Terms of Service.
- Any bank, currency conversion, or intermediary fees are outside our control and may not be refundable.
4. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund within the applicable refund period:

Use myAccount to easily manage your order, subscription, invoice and payment details. Signup / Login using your email address.
4.2 E-Mail
- Contact us at support@2checkout.com.
- Include:
- The email address used for your TrueNAS Connect Plus account,
- Your order number or transaction ID (available in your payment confirmation email),
- Whether your subscription is monthly or annual,
- A brief description of the reason for the refund request (optional but helpful).
4.3 If your request is approved:
- We will process the refund through our payment provider (2Checkout / Verifone).
- Refunds are usually issued to the original payment method.
- Depending on your bank or card issuer, it may take 5–10 business days for the refunded amount to appear on your statement. You can view the 2Checkout Refund Policy for more details on turnaround times.
5. Cancellation Policy
You may cancel your TrueNAS Connect Plus subscription at any time.
5.1 How to cancel
You can cancel by:
- Logging into your myAccount and following the cancellation instructions in the account/subscription settings, or
- Contacting us at support@2checkout.com with:
- The email address associated with your account,
- A clear request to cancel your subscription.
We may require you to verify your identity before completing the cancellation.
5.2 Effective date of cancellation
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, unless otherwise stated.
- After cancellation:
- Your subscription will not renew, and you will not be charged for future periods.
- You will typically retain access to paid features until the end of the current paid period, unless your account is suspended or terminated for breach of our Terms of Service.
Cancelling your subscription does not automatically trigger a refund. Refunds are only granted according to the terms set out in Section 3.
6. Free Trials and Promotions (if applicable)
If we offer a free trial or promotional period from time to time:
- The specific terms (duration, eligibility, any charges upon conversion) will be shown at sign‑up.
- Unless you cancel before the end of the free or promotional period, your subscription may automatically convert to a paid plan and the applicable fee will be charged.
- After conversion to a paid subscription, our standard refund rules in Section 3 apply.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, our services, or legal requirements.
- When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
- Your continued use of TrueNAS Connect Plus after any changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
