Tags Screen

The Tags screen shows a table of tags(labels) created in TrueNAS Connect.

The search box allows you to filter the list of tags to quickly find a specific tag.

Add

Add opens the Add Tag form that is used to create a tag (label) in TrueNAS Connect.

Add Tag

Use the Add Tag form to create a tag (label) in TrueNAS Connect that you can apply to systems. Applying tags to systems labels the systems according to the function, location, or any other useful information you want to use when searching for a system in TrueNAS Connect.

The tag form shows two fields, Name and Color. Save adds the tag to the system.

Name

Name assigns the name to the tag (label). Names can consist of upper and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters (~,`,!,@,#,$,%,^,&,*,=,+).

Color

Color assigns a color to the tag. Clicking on the color block shows different color palettes to select the color to use.

Tags Table

The table on the Tags screen shows three columns:

  • Color - Shows the color selected for the tag.
  • Name - Shows the name of the tag (label).
  • Systems - Shows the number (count) of systems the tag is applied to.

Each row shows a more_vert menu icon with two options:

Edit Tag

Use the Edit Tag form to change the name or color assigned to a tag (label).

Edit Tag on the more_vert menu icon to the right of each tag item opens the Edit Tag form.

Delete Confirmation

The Confirmation dialog prompts you to verify that you want to delete the selected tag.

Delete on the more_vert menu icon to the right of each tag item listed on the Tags screen or in the Tags area in the Dashboard side panel opens the Confirmation dialog.

Ok deletes the tag. Cancel closes the dialog without deleting the tag.
